RIM’s BlackBerry PlayBook On Sale at April 19 – Accept PreOrder Today!

Research in Motion (RIM) has announced that the highly anticipated Blackberry Playbook will be available in more than 20,000 retail outlets in U.S. and Canada starting April 19.

You can now pre-order the PlayBook from bestbuy.com with start price $499 for 16GB WiFi version, 32GB and 64GB with $599 and $699 respectively.

Tablet competition between army of Android devices and Apple’s iPad has been intense and now Playbook has just joined in with hope to grab some shares. The PlayBook was announced September 2010 and only make its presence for sale on April 2011. It would be interesting to see how it can take off from here considering Apple’s second generation iPad is highly demanding in US and on its way to global on 25th March. Furthermore, a more powerful and impressive Android Honeycomb seems to becoming standard for all Android-based devices and is gaining its popularity.

However, it is still early to conclude anything as BlackBerry has its own fans and lovers.
